FAQs

Here at Money4Motorbikes we try to make your experience with us as smooth and hassle free as possible.

We have a couple of ways we can pay you for your bike and the choice is down to you.

1/ Cash – as simple as it sounds. We can pay you the amount discussed for your motorbike on the day we collect the bike from you. The correct amount will have been counted and enveloped with our driver to ensure the correct amount is there. The driver will count out the cash with you on the day of collection to ensure all parties are happy that the correct amount is changing hands.

2/ Instant Bank Transfer – Before we collect your motorcycle, we will set you up with our instant bank transfer details. Before we arrive, we will send you a nominal payment to your account so that you can check for its arrival and we are happy that the full outstanding balance will be sent to the correct account. All we need to do this is your sort code and account number prior to arrival. Once the driver has arrived and checked around the bike, we will send you over the remainder of the balance for you to check online that it has arrived safely in your account. Only at this point will we load the bike onto the van.

3/ Outstanding Finance – No problem, before we offer you a price for your motorcycle, we will contact your finance company for a settlement figure. Whatever you owe, we will deduct this from our price and settle your finance with your finance company once the bike has been collected. If you owe more than the bike is worth, again this is no problem. You can pay us the difference and we will organise the settlement with the finance company.

Here at Money4Motorbikes we try to make your experience with us as smooth and hassle free as possible.

Outstanding finance is not a problem for us to deal with. Before we offer you a price for your motorcycle, we will contact your finance company for a settlement figure. Whatever you owe, we will deduct this from our price we pay you.

Money4Motorcycles will take the hassle out of the process and deal with the finance company direct on your behalf. We are approved agents with most finance companies across the UK. We will send you all the documentation for your records so that you have peace of mind that the settlement is now complete once we have collected the bike. You will also receive written notification from your finance company that your agreement has been settled.

I can’t find my log book – what will I do?

Here at Money4Motorbikes we try to make your experience with us as smooth and hassle free as possible.

In order to sell your motorbike we will need a log book to ensure the bike is truly your motorbike to sell. This is a deal breaker and very much part of our terms and conditions. I’m sure you would also not buy a bike without a logbook either.

We would ask that once you have spoken with one of our professional members of staff and agreed a provisional price for your motorbike, that you then make a call to DVLA.

The process is very simple, a quick call and a payment of very small fee will then give you the correct documentation you need to sell you bike to us online or over the telephone.

Once you receive the logbook from DVLA, contact us immediately and we can schedule you in the diary for collection that week. We have a fleet of vans who travel the country daily so collection should not take long at all.

What If I have a cherished number that I would like to keep?

We totally understand if you would like to keep your number plate and can act on your behalf as an agent with the DVLA to coordinate this process for you. All we would need from you is a cheque to the DVLA for the relevant fee for the removal of the plate from the bike, we would handle all the paperwork for you making the process as seamless as possible.

So, it couldn’t be easier – for your no obligation quote, get a valuation. If you agree with our price, we can arrange the collection of your bike once the new log book has arrived.

Here at Money4Motorbikes we try to make your experience with us as smooth and hassle free as possible.

Our business hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. We have a fleet of vans who travel the country weekly who are maybe on your doorstep the day of your initial enquiry.

We try to call all our customers within an hour of making an online enquiry if the enquiry is sent between these hours. If your enquiry is sent outside these hours we would endeavour that a call be made the next working day.

Do you HPI the motorbike once we have agreed on a price?

At Money4Motorbikes we 100% HPI all our bikes that we buy from you. We use Experian checks and this will be carried out before we collect your bike. If we have agreed a price based on a clear check and then a HPI report gives us information we were not aware of, Money4Motorbikes will re-adjust the quote accordingly.

A HPI check allows us to check over many things such as: Has it been stolen, an insurance write off, does it have any outstanding finance that we need to clear and liaise with your finance company over. Remember that if the finance is not clear, the finance company will always have an interest in the motorbike and would claim it to cover remaining finance. The bike may have had previous plates or mileage discrepancies that we need to consider.

If you know about any discrepancies that we may find on a HPI report, please advise our call centre through the additional information section on the online form. Or alternatively give the call centre a call using the number below. We may still purchase your bike from you, we just need to be 100% clear on the specifics of the report.
